Stone house courtyard in Vrboska with olive trees and fishing boats on the canal

The Story Behind Our Houses

House Lara, House Morko, and House Tia are three traditional stone houses in Vrboska, Hvar, restored and cared for by a local family who grew up in this small harbor town. Each house carries its own name and character, but they share the same family oversight, the same attention to detail, and the same deep connection to the island's fishing and winemaking traditions.

Guests are welcomed personally, not handed off to a booking platform. Someone from the family greets you at the door, shows you around, and remains reachable throughout your stay for local tips, restaurant recommendations, and practical help. It is the same warmth and pace of life you feel walking along the canal, past the olive groves and old stone walls of Vrboska.

What Makes Staying With Us Different

This is authentic, premium hospitality, distinct from generic rentals, direct and personal and rooted in local knowledge of Hvar.

Personal Welcome

A member of the family greets guests on arrival, shares house details in person, and stays reachable by phone throughout the stay.

True Local Knowledge

Recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and boat trips come from people who have lived in Vrboska their whole lives, not a script.

Restored with Care

Each house keeps its original stone walls and character, updated with quality furnishings and modern comfort rather than stripped of identity.
